Have you ever washed a comforter or large load of laundry, only to find it soaking wet at the end of the cycle? It’s a fact that even powerful modern washers don’t work optimally when overstuffed.

Often, the culprit is simply an unbalanced load of laundry. Heavy items like bedding or a winter coat can settle on one side of the drum, throwing off the motion of the washing machine. Try rearranging your clumped-up wet laundry and running the spin cycle again.

Are you using high efficiency (HE) detergents with low foaming action? Non-HE detergents can produce so many suds that the machine’s sensors mistakenly think that the washer is too full. 

Finally, make sure your washer is level. If positioned unevenly, your washer won’t spin properly. Adjust each individual leg higher or lower until the washer is completely level, both from side-to-side and front to back.
